The spiritual revolution in human consciousness that began in the 1960s is thriving, according to Los Angeles author and intuitive, Tori Hartman. “Today, we are evolving on a metaphysical level so fast that we don’t yet have a vocabulary for what we’re experiencing,” she says. What is spiritual evolution?

Theories are diverse and can describe both cosmological and personal definitions. For our purposes, spiritual evolution is when a core group of progressive thinkers increases and seeks spiritual awareness that includes a sense of inner self and community responsibility, opposed to an outwardly-focused, ego type of self. According to Hartman, this shift towards spiritual awareness is evident by the collective conscious that put President Barack Obama into office.

“All manifestation begins with thought,” says Hartman. “The thoughts and images in our subconscious mind create our reality. Today, we have a much-altered reality and a new paradigm.”

What of the old paradigm?

In Hartman’s view, the old reality was one of separation and opposition. For thousands of years, we have separated ourselves into tribes, countries, empires and divided ourselves by sex, race and religion.

“Integration is the new catch-phrase,” Hartman declares. “Integration basically means people learning how to love themselves and others as part of the whole. With that, we’ll be amazed at how quickly intuition and psychic telepathy develops.”
